Why + How
Disparities exist in how American youth participate in and access outdoor activities. Access to the outdoors is important for all American youth .
A national fund would incentivize the creation and growth of outdoor opportunity programs, expanding the benefits of meaningful, community-led outdoor experiences to young people across the nation.
The Outdoor Opportunity Coalition seeks to build public and political momentum for the creation of a National Outdoor Opportunity Fund that will enable large-scale and long-term investments in programs to ensure that all youth across the nation have an opportunity to explore the great outdoors and enjoy its health, educational, and career-building benefits.
